During the Summer Intensives, the pieces I begin as demonstration vehicles, I finish in the ensuing weeks. Here’s what resulted in that process this summer.
I made a piece a few years ago called “The Carrot IS The Stick”. Decided to revisit the concept as my demo for the first summer workshop. This piece is a response to the original. The carrot is no longer the stick. It’s just food :-). This piece is covered, as if by tatoo’s of sacred geometry.
Here is the study and the finished piece created during the 2nd summer intensive. Squirrels remind me to play which is why these girls have toys in their hands. The large one with the vintage yo-yo is also a vase.
