Greetings All,
I’m writing to open registration for a day-long DELIGHT. On Friday, January 11th, 2019 (snow date: Jan 14th) I will host the very talented ceramic artist, Susan Ross here in my classroom (2321 Lower State Rd. Doylestown, PA 18901). As the images below indicate, Susan will be demonstrating how to make and use custom, texture tools. If the number of participants allows, we will have sections of the day for “hands-on” learning. If the group is too large, it will be a “demo-only” style arrangement.
Cost for this full day event is $125. Space is limited so please be in touch if you’d like to hold a seat.
About Susan:
I met Susan about 40 years ago when a hurricane took out my kiln in Cape May, NJ. Susan was already beloved by that local community and though I didn’t know her, her reputation was that of a kind, supportive person. So I reached out to fire some work in her kiln and she couldn’t have been more welcoming. Over these years, I’ve come to know her as a deeply talented, humble, sweetheart of a person. Never one to toot her own horn, she hasn’t been called to become a National figure in ceramics. Instead she has focused her attention where she lives, in West Cape May (lucky them). She sells her work locally and teaches classes from her studio to her community.
I find her to be inventive with tools and fearless about trying things. These qualities have afforded her the chance to develop a unique and personal expression with her work. I personally love and use her pots regularly.
